Palazzo del Pero
We have been inside the ancient walls of the historic center of Como for 20 years now.
After having been in Via Rusconi and Via Volta in 2018 we reached the first floor of the historic 'Palazzo del Pero', built in the late Middle Ages and former home of the Como family with the same name.
In summertime, groups of tourists come hereunder to see the amazing facade of the building. Their buzz mixes with the piano notes that come from the restaurant below that hosts young musicians from the conservatory every day.
In winter instead, with closed windows, we allow ourselves a bit of healthy rock'n'roll..
Edit 31/12/2020:
the restaurant has closed,
the tourists are gone,
we saved the piano.
Edit 31/12/2021:
the restaurant is for sale,
the tourists are back,
the piano has settled.
Edit 31/12/2022:
tourists are now on the ground floor,
even on the floor above,
the piano is out of tune.
